Lisa A. Ekman
CEO / President
Lisa Ekman is a proven information technology executive with extensive responsibility in leading IT organizations across multiple industries, focusing on managing IT from a technical and business perspective. As President of Ekman Associates, Lisa is engaged in all aspects of the firms’ operations and Client engagements with complete oversight to ensure success.
Lisa’s breadth of experience spans 30 years working in both domestic and multinational companies. During her career, Lisa has earned a solid reputation for being business focused, results oriented and committed to excellence in execution. She has held many executive level roles including the office of CIO and has developed IT teams ranging from 50-250 people with significant budget responsibility.
Lisa’s expertise crosses diverse industries such as Entertainment, Banking, Consumer Packaged Goods, Internet Service Provider, Real Estate, Insurance, Health Care, Hospitality, Retail, Development and Construction, and Foodservice.
Tom J. Ekman
Tom Ekman co-founded Ekman Associates, Inc. in 2007 based on his belief that Ekman Associates can fill a significant void in the industry by supplying honest, high quality consulting and direct hire expertise. Tom serves as the firm’s CFO and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and finance functions.
Tom’s experience spans 30 years and includes executive level positions within the Finance, Banking, Corporate/Crisis Communications and Executive Recruiting industries.
Prior to Ekman Associates, Tom served as Head of the Investor Relations Practice Group for a leading global Corporate Public and Crisis Communications firm. Additionally, Tom Co-founded a financial communications firm specializing in Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Earlier in his career, Tom served as an executive in the banking industry as well as a Financial Consultant for Morgan Stanley.
SVP, Business Development
Firouzeh Farmand, Senior Vice President, Business Development, has over 30 years’ experience in technology execution, talent leadership, and sales management. With deep experience in Technology and Business Transformation, Firouzeh partners with Ekman Associates leadership team to define and implement the firm’s business development and go-to-market strategies, create professional consulting opportunities, and oversee the management consulting services.
Prior to joining Ekman Associates, Firouzeh was VP, Head of Talent Management West at RGP, a global management consulting firm, and had served as Managing Director, Orange County office. Throughout her career, Firouzeh’s goal has been to deliver the optimal solution by focusing on the fundamentals of people strategy and tightly managing solutions delivery, resulting in her clients emerging stronger, more agile, and better able to respond to an ever-changing business environment.
Director, Talent Acquisition
Corina Tuason is a strong business professional, skilled in providing talent solutions to align with client resource needs. As Talent Acquisition Director, she brings in 15 years of Recruiting experience. Corina started her first year as a Consultant in the IT Consulting industry, then later moved into the Recruiting world as she was intrigued by the business model. Prior to recruiting, her background includes 22 years of systems implementations within Retail, Merchandising, Production Planning and Manufacturing, Warehousing, Automotive and Entertainment industries.
Corina is passionate about giving back to the communities around her. She has co-founded a non-profit group within Los Angeles County and is serving as an officer in the group during her spare time.
Director, Talent Management
Rosa Martinez joined Ekman Associates in 2016 and is a results-oriented director of talent management. She began her career in finance within the Health Care industry. It was through this experience that she realized she enjoyed the human aspects of business and continued to develop her career in talent management. Rosa has solid experience attracting, onboarding and retaining high quality employees, developing their skills and motivating them to perform to the best of their abilities.
Rosa’s strategy is built on a strong belief in understanding human nature and fostering strong professional relationships. Her goal is to nurture, develop and provide the talent that powers Ekman’s growth and performance.
